ETL migrations with Konvertilo
Find quick answers to the most frequently asked questions.
Which ETLs are supported?
As of today, PowerCenter, Talend and Talaxie are supported. More can be added on request.
How can I estimate the number of flows and the cost?
We provide 2 levels of analysis:
1) a simple analysis that gives you a few statistics to start the discussion.
2) A more comprehensive analysis, providing a wealth of information and statistics, to estimate the risk, cost and duration of such a project.
What type of feed can I convert?
All feeds can be converted. Some unsupported and seldom-used components will be replaced by generic components to be taken over manually.
We're taking advantage of this conversion to change the target database, is this possible?
Yes, it is possible to change connections or database types during the conversion process. We take care of the transliteration of SQL commands.
Can you convert everything?
Yes, but it’s a good idea to carry out a detailed analysis of the flows to determine which are not being used in production, or which should not be converted because they are obsolete, too heavy or too complex.
How long does a conversion take?
A feed is converted in a matter of seconds. There is, however, a configuration phase, which is global to the project and lasts from a few days to a few weeks, depending on the customer’s maturity with the target ETL and the complexity of the environments.
Do you have a tool to facilitate non-regression testing?
We have developed an integrated code coverage tool, and we work with a partner, D&Ü, who has developed a test automation tool to speed up this very critical phase of the project.
